Training course “The Role of the Disability Manager in Public Administrations”

Context and Objectives

The disability manager is a professional who operates within the processes of placement, inclusion and socio-occupational integration of people with health problems or in conditions of vulnerability within public and private organisations. They may work as an employee or as an external consultant.

The initiatives they promote are aimed at ensuring appropriate processes of job placement, inclusion, integration, job retention and return to work for people with health problems or in conditions of vulnerability. They also collaborate with local networks and services involved in workplace inclusion and, at the same time, support the organisation in adapting itself to accommodate and manage the needs of these individuals. This includes attention to measures for removing physical and cultural barriers, corporate welfare and agile working, as well as identifying suitable reasonable adjustments.
